Provides temporary relief to primary caregivers for homecare purposes, respite could mean providing relief for time periods ranging from a few hours to a few days. Assistants are also responsible for observing, recording and reporting to their supervisor any noticeable change in their client’s condition and home environment.
Provide non-medical services such as companionship and social activities. May deliver services such as meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry and shopping, general household, chores, running errands and accompanying clients to appointments.
Non/Medical Assistance who are involved with the clients personal care and assist with activities of daily living such as transferring, mobility, dressing and grooming, bathing, toileting, doing exercises, taking vitamins, insuring medication are taken and monitoring other activities.
